Awaken, Breathe, Live, Sleep, Repeat

I awoke today full of energy and a need to run free. Sadly, due to living a city life, I cannot just go out and jog or relax in a park without looking over my shoulder. I instead meditated and realized that sometimes just relaxing and breathing one can make even the most important decisions. It's as if the fog lifts and things become clearer than ever. Fall and spring are my favorite seasons but in this concrete jungle I am missing true nature. Leaves falling on freshly cut grass, trees for miles, people walking at night and greeting their neighbors with good morning and how are you. I long for the small town life in America. A place where I can hear nature and not just people screaming at one another while rushing from one place to another never truly looking at the scenery. A place that is calm and where you can actually see stars in the sky without being on the roof of a congested building. Some say I am odd since I love nature so much but the truth is I just love peace and quiet and freedom. I love places where you can appreciate the simple things. I want to fly like the birds, never looking back only ahead. Letting the breeze encircle me and energize me. I long for my day to fly free.

Who I Am

I am a woman, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a girlfriend, and a student. This is how people would describe but that is just a small part of who I am. I am religious, I am devoted and passionate, I am understanding and warm, and I am an individual yet part of a larger circle. I am a Celtic wiccan who enjoys the mountains and loves wolves. I am of French, Irish, German and American Indian ethnicity. I am an American by birth. I am short and thin and I have a sarcastic nature. I laugh for no reason sometimes and try to find humor in almost every situation. I am a risk taker at times and I try to keep others calm in tough situations. I support the wildlife foundation, animal advocacy groups, LGBT rights, and women's rights groups. I have cats and an adopted wild mustang who I send money to protect and nurture. I am a nature girl who believes in animism and the principles of yin and yang as well as do no harm. In short, I am strong and I am weak. I am brave yet I can crumble. I can laugh but I also cry. I am clumsy but also coordinated. I am young but also old. I know things yet I am still clueless about much. I fall but I also rise. I try to always love but sometimes I hate. I am a girl as well as a woman. I breathe, I sing, I hurt, I feel, I love, I need, I am. I am me.

It's a New Day!

Recently I have had ponderings about life and I decided to start a blog as a way of organizing my thoughts, emotions, and at times my ramblings. I sat in the park today and just people watched, a favorite activity of mine. I feel that one can learn about the world around them by just watching the most simple of interactions and daily tasks. There were people walking their dogs and laughing while drinking their Starbucks coffee while others were relaxing on the grass or playing music. It was a peaceful time in a chaotic world. Living in a city makes me feel as if I need to rush around yet the park is one of the few places were the world seems to go quiet and allows for everyone to just come together and enjoy nature and one another. Anyways, it was while relaxing in the park that I decided upon starting my blog and here it is and here is a bit of wisdom that I will give before I depart for the evening. Relax, Rest, and find your own center of calmness and peace. In a world which tells us to rush and not stop to smell the flowers, sometimes you need to stop and ask what I am missing by going through life without having time to take time. Make time for life and look around, you may discover new things and see things in new ways.
